By accessing or using Kaemit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Kaemit is a tool that allows users to download audio and video content from YouTube for personal, non-commercial use. The Service is provided free of charge and without warranty of any kind.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree to use Kaemit solely for:

  • Downloading content that you own or have explicit permission to download.
  • Content that is in the public domain or licensed under a Creative Commons or similar open license that permits downloading.
  • Personal, non-commercial, private use.

4. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Download, reproduce, or distribute copyrighted content without the rights holder's permission.
  • Circumvent any technological measures that control access to content.
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose or for any public display.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or harm the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Violate YouTube's Terms of Service or any applicable law.

5. Copyright and Third-Party Content

Kaemit does not host, store, or redistribute any YouTube content. All content is fetched directly from YouTube's servers at your request. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of downloaded content complies with applicable copyright law and YouTube's Terms of Service.

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe the Service is being used to infringe your copyright, please contact us.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that downloaded files will be free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kaemit and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or content.

8. Rate Limits

To ensure fair use and service availability, the download endpoint is rate-limited to 5 requests per minute and 20 requests per hour per IP address. The lyrics endpoint is limited to 30 requests per minute. Automated or bulk use that exceeds these limits may result in temporary access restrictions.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
